Multi factorial . We’re complicated beings arnttweee .

Ok medical terminology that a lot of people don’t know yet – conventional ; in the US it’s mostly allopathic(western) algorithms that end up with either we don’t know (idiopathic), medication, or surgery . Alternative – something to do instead of conventional . Complementary – basically alternative that instead is done alongside conventional . Preventative – you do it before you get sick so you don’t get sick ; we’re a back up against the wall kind of species so a lot of people unfortunately tend to skip this one and then don’t have resources when they do get sick and end up only knowing how to take the conventional route. Naturopathic – coming from the school of thought that the body has an innate knowing of how to heal so supporting the body to do it’s thing from a holistic perspective ; we use nutrition herbs lifestyle bodywork etc . Homeopathic – a modality that uses remedies through the concept of like cures like ; subtle but can be extremely powerful ; crude substances diluted over and over again until there is only the energetic fingerprint of the constituents you started with (a lot of people ask if I’m a homeopath- I love working with homeopathy but I have a lot of other modalities I like to incorporate too depending on the person). Osteopathic- structure means function ; similar to chiropractic in that way ; if the body’s structures are jiving then then health should result.

On exercise being a form of stress .. so much of our culture is go go go . Can we shift that into slowwwww .. I’ve been enjoying weight classes lately and felt myself really pushing to get to and through classes last week . I started loling in one of the classes while the lady is straight up yelling at everyone music blasting sprinting through reps . I started feeling so much anxiety . My body was like biiiiiish . And I felt my hamstring start to shout like not a good shout and recognized I needed to back off a bit . Then I was reflecting on how high intensity workouts registers in our bodies like were sprinting to get away from something .. it’s added stress . Stress can be healthy – it’s a catalyst for growth . We need nurturing to balance it though . To find the rest too . I think a lot of people have an easier time going to classes that are high stress like that instead of sitting in a yin class because it’s so different from what we’re used to . So in case you needed it this is a reminder to find the rest . Nurture yourself . Listen to what days you could use a gentle walk outside and what days the screaming lady serves you . Healthy stress healthy rest . Balance in all .

Restriction just leads to rebellion or binge . If it isn’t coming from self love then it isn’t going to be lasting . Love yourself first , every part .

Sit with it . Feel it .

I’ve had a pain in my side for 2 years at least some things have helped but it kept coming back . I had an emdr session and reprocessed a sexual assault I experienced a few years back and now it’s gone. Pretty fucking crazy . The body holds onto so much . Shake if you feel like it . Scream if you gotta. Let that shit out . We’re made to evolve .

Is so hard to do shit when you feel like shit . to know what would help and feel frozen . We’re always looking for something to cover it up . What if we just felt it ? It fucking sucks but maybe it’s important .

Life is so fucking precious . Shit is so ass backwards sometimes . People can literally treat themselves like absolute ass everyday for their entire lives – not drink water .. eat like negative nutrients .. not sleep.. drown themselves daily in straight booze and live to 90 while someone else trip and bumps their head and their gone or takes all the steps health wise and gets cancer still at 20 or gets killed in a horrible accident . The point is you never know .. don’t take any days or anyone for granted . Love you guys .

Our society is so built on dopamine grabs it’s kinda fucked up . Shallow . It tricks us into thinking we’re headed in the direction of something deeper like true connection or lit up passions . But instead it’s just short term satisfaction that can lead to major gaps in brain chemistry and true comfort and nourishment .

I wonder if so many women settle for fools because we’re scared of being abused by the absurd amount of fuck boys there are out there these days .

On body image … it’s not about what you look like . It’s about how you feel in your body . No one else should be able to tell you how to feel in your body . We start to learn the opposite so young . Look this way feel this way eat this way no this way now that way . Looking in the mirror since we’re just little babes . Comparing trying picking ourselves and each other apart . Not sure how to change it but calling it out feels good at least . Love yourself and your differences the flowers don’t look over like daaaamn I wish my petals looked different they just bloom uniquely and are fucking beautiful no matter what . It doesn’t matter what you look like it matters how YOU feel in YOUR body . And that shouldn’t have anything to do with anybody else .

Very excited to literally move next door . To only bring in what feels good . To have a garage so the place isn’t as cluttered . To set up our bed .. to have a tub .. to have drawers .. to have enough space to stretch and an outdoor space for cst .. to repot my plants . to put food in a fresh fridge . To hang up the projector . To purge some shit . To have a bed in our bedroom instead of living room . To have a desk and a kitchen table .

Craving grapefruits and omega 3 bars . Kitchari with SMASH fish and some coconut yogurt . Bone broth and steaks with garlic and ghee

Stop assigning worth to the way people look .

Ck just asked me if he could leave a review on how well the fertility awareness method works lol . 5 years and have never felt more co dude T in any other method . Knowing my body and my cycle it’s now to the day – day 1 (first day of bleed) is on the 12th two weeks to the dot I ovulate (but still always track symptoms there are no assumptions here!) and two weeks after that I’ll bleed again . This is not something to fool around with or to take lightly . It’s a radical act . I can’t wait to teach more women how to read our bodies it’s so comforting knowing you can trust yourself to be in control of your own fertility. Step 1 is tracking your bleed symptoms and marking the day you start on the Calendar every month (this is day 1). Step2 is tracking ovulation symptoms (main one being egg white style mucous which is textbook at day 14 .

Your ideal body should be your body

On selfishness neediness and prioritizing self :: complicated – all with their own negative connotations – to have needs isn’t a bad thing it’s human . To be self serving makes sense and to prioritize yourself is actually healthy . Maybe It’s just when we go overboard and isolate that it becomes problematic but each of things at their root are actually useful for understanding and caring for ourselves – it’s ok to take care of yourself you are worthy and deserving of your own time and just because you are taking care of yourself doesn’t mean you can’t also care for others . If anything it allows us to care more for others because we have more to offer when we make sure we are cared for too .

7 deadly sins ::: lust envy gluttony pride sloth wrath greed .

why’s this country gotta make it so challenging to be healthy . Connor and I were talking the other night about how much harder it was in Central America to get the common things here that we’re so spoiled by and how the path of least resistance there made it so much easier to eat healthy and move more . There’s so much wellness in simplicity .
