On meat … sourcing is everything . If you’re eating conventionally raised meats you’re getting added hormones and antibiotics along with it . You’re getting hardly any of the nutritional value you’d be getting if you were sourcing from regenerative farms . We should be getting at the minimum .8g of protein per kilogram of body weight . If you’re pregnant or breast feeding or exercising regularly you need more .. if you have kidney disease you probably want less . Getting adequate protein intake and enjoying movement daily is one of the easiest ways to gain muscle and loose fat. Stop starving yourself.

Things to keep in the house : white vinegar , aloe plant , fire cider, elder syrup, Castile soap , essential oil of eucalyptus and lavender and peppermint , sea salt , black pepper , turmeric , rose water , coconut oil , avo oil, evoo, acv, balsamic ,

skin and sunshine and chemicals ; sunshine gets a bad wrap .. just because people get skin cancer doesn’t mean they had sun damage in that spot . People get skin cancer on their assholes without sunning them. Skin is our largest organ and the turnover rate of our skin is really fast – that means there’s a lot of cells being made which means there’s a higher risk that some of those cells are cancerous . Which is fine and our body does a great job of taking care of cancerous cells on the regular . But if you’re already inflamed and having a lot of oxidative stress in your system overall then it makes it harder for you body to keep up with cancer cells bc it’s using its resources for constant toxin exposure like from the things we lather all over our largest organ on the regular – like toxic sunscreen ! There’s a bunch of great options for sunscreen out there that isn’t toxic but one of the best sunscreens we have for our skin is our food . If you’re eating foods rich is phytonutrients and giving your body the resources it needs to keep up with oxidative stress then you should be in a good spot. Some regular sun exposure is one of the best things for our immune systems . Reduce systemic inflammation . Use nontoxic things on your skin . Enjoy the sunshine .

ego and healing ::: we’re not here to heal anyone . We’re here to remind people of their inner healers and empower them to make educated decisions about their health . We’re not here to fix anyone . We’re here to remind them they were never broken in the first place . We’re not here to say we know what’s best for anyone . We’re here to help people connect back to themselves so they can hear those messages loud and clear of what they need and what serves them at any given time . Medicine has become so masculinized . Time to bring it back to the wise woman tradition and relearn what health really means .

being overly critical of others :: when I see people being hard on other people I think damn they must be equally if not harder on themselves . It’s a direct reflection and it’s one thing to makes jokes and laugh with people but hatred is ugly and being overly critical of yourself and others is just mean. We’re not perfect and no one was ever meant to be perfect . We’re just out here trying our best so be a little nicer to yourself so you can shine that outward .

perfection … ohh babyy how many of us think we need to be good at something right off the bat or need to know everything or need to look a certain way all the time or show up in a certain way constantly ? Is that realistic ? I feel like with social media this has gone apeshit like we’re all pretending to be perfect and are anxious as fuck to mess anything up . We’re human . We’re supposed to make mistakes . So don’t be so hard on yourself . You are worthy simply because you exist and nothing can change that or take it away .

We don’t all need to think the same thing or have the same values or feel the same way about different topics . How boring would it be if we always agreed? How much more interesting is it to discuss things and understand each other better?

Life is so fucking beautiful . Hard and unfair and painful but also so fucking beautiful . So thankful for my people and for nature and for the freedom to adventure . Not wanting to take any of it for granted . The bad doesn’t always last and The good doesn’t always last either so wanting to appreciate it while I’ve got it .

Balance is important . Eating inflammatory foods everyday isn’t balance . Balance is more avocado oil more omega 3 less inflammatory omega 6 seed oils (+++sunflower oil!!) more plant fiber more hydrating more medicine more local more fresh more home cooked meals . less of americas ass conventionally raised and grown bs . Give your gut a break . Eat more whole food.

dreams and reticular discharge — neuro recharge :: we were talking about this in this Parkinson’s class I took a couple weekends ago. When you go to sleep you are basically discharging the events of the day through your dreams and giving yourself a clean slate for the next one. In Parkinson’s a lot of people will be activated by dreams and act them out . It’s a key symptom of early Parkinson’s -the others are constipation and difficulty with smell. If you know someone with these symptoms have them download the PRO-PD app and track their symptoms . A lot of the times it’s toxin related so just cleaning up lifestyle goes a long way. Parkinson’s is preventable if you catch the signs early enough . The rates are skyrocketing so I feel like it’s important to look out for eachother with it .

trying our best .. it’s all we can do. If we try our best then what else can we look back on and wish we did differently ? Our best might change day to day but at least we’re doing what we can for any given moment .

resistance to information .. ego blocks a lot . Stay open and keep learning . If someone has a different perspective it doesn’t mean it has to be wrong . Ignorance is bliss but knowledge is power . Remaining curious is one of the best ways to continue to grow your knowledge . There’s more gray areas than we give credit to.
